Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

“What Gets Tracked , Gets Improved”

I don’t remember who said this , but I got this quote of listening to a lot of self help content. But , I believe that’s true advice. Think about it , if you track your steps everyday – on your watch or phone – you have an aspiration daily step goal and look at your steps and you try to hit that number everyday.

But tracking your progress to your goals , shows you where you are , how much more progress you need to get the result you want and shows if you’re improving , platueing or getting worse.

I’m right now tracking the time I wake up in the morning (Waking up @ 5AM is my goal) , tracking my screentime on both my laptop and phone (trying to get less than 2 hours of recreational screentime) and tracking a new habit of where I practice delibrate boredom for 15mins everyday. Yes , you heard me right being bored on purpose for 15mins every single day. (I’ve missed a couple of days , so I need to restart that goal). But I got that delibrate boredom 15min habit goal from reading a blog post by Zen Habits saying that delibrate boredom improves your focus , creativity and makes you less addicted and attracted to social media and other digital entertainment.
